Used Books

Interested in volunteering your time? The Used Books area could use your help.

Here are some details:

Book Stockers

  • Both men and women are needed.

  • Good source of exercise (some strength needed to lift heavy boxes).

  • Sort and restock books on the shelves.

  • Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings 7:45 to 11:30 A.M.

  • Work as few as three hours, one day a week.

  • Most volunteers enjoy working up to 12 hours a week.

  • Schedules can be set around your time availability.

Used Books Cashier

  • Friendly/outgoing personality who enjoys working with the public.

  • Comfortable handling money and making change.

  • Interface with adults and children to answer questions.

  • Three-hour shifts.

  • One day per week (or more if you’d like).

Benefits of Volunteering

  • Work with a great group of people.

  • Be the first to see donated items before they are sold to the public.

 

No experience necessary! Training is provided for all positions.

Every dollar made is given to the Library for new books, digital databases and programs for the community.
