It is hard to believe that we are approaching the fall season of this very trying year. I hope this message finds you all safe and well.
Our Programs committee has a full lineup of Author Talks for Fall that will be offered free via Zoom. These diverse authors offer a range of genres from historical fiction, thrillers, non‐fiction travels and true event archeological mysteries. We hope you will join us from the comfort of your home, as we discover new authors in a new and exciting way that you won’t want to miss. Visit our Programs and Special Events page for more information and to register for our Author Events.
We have also rolled out our new membership platform, JoinIt, which offers our members new ways to interact with the FOTL. Members can view, update and renew memberships, add photos to personal profiles and register for FOTL programs all from one interactive platform. View your membership profile on JoinIt here. If you are not an FOTL member and would like to join us please click here. A full explanation of Membership benefits can be viewed on our Membership page.
There are many ways to continue to support the Friends of the Library during this time. If you shop at Amazon or Ralphs you can turn those qualified purchases into donations or you can give someone a unique and personalized gift through our Adopt-a-Book program. Please visit our donation page for details on all the ways you can help us to continue provide much needed support the the Huntington Beach Public Library.
We all greatly miss our wonderful and one of a kind Gift Shop and Used Books Store and are working hard to ensure that when we re‐open we will be able to browse and shop safely. I want to thank all of our hardworking board members and amazing volunteers for their dedication and commitment to the FOTL. I especially want to thank you, our members and community for your continued support of our wonderful organization and the Huntington Beach Public Library system.
